What am I doing to my stomach? Breakfast was three takeaway oysters from the Shed followed by a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage (shared with Debs as all she had was a toasted tea cake) beans, fried egg & white toast at the Blackwater Pearl cafe.
We then went for a short drive into Mersea town to pick up cash at Tesco before I had to race for the public loo – and just made it in time! When will I ever learn?
After recovering at Little Brig for half a hour we ventured in the car to East Mersea vinery and bought 3 micro brewed beers including a much anticipated oyster stout! A quick trip to Colchester Sainsbury’s and back to LB.
Man vs. food carried on for tea at the shed – my first meal inside – with grilled tiger prawns, fresh whole brown crab, grilled oysters washed down with a bottle of Mersea Island produced wine. Yummy, especially the prawns – we had a second helping – and the wine which tasted of Elderberries.
Not a bad day at all!
