Polish War Memorial

As promised in an earlier blog from last week, Debbie and I went to pay our respects at this Second World war memorial to over 2000 casualties from the Polish Air Force yesterday.

It can be found just off the M40 heading into London round the back of RAF Northolt which was the main home for the Polish fighter squadrons during the Battle of Britain.

The memorial is not huge but well looked after and while we were visiting at least two other couples parked up so we were both glad that their sacrifice was being remembered still, 70 years after the conflict ended.

It was quite a moving experience so I’ll let the pictures do the talking on this occasion.
