As Michael Caine famously is reported to say on a regular occurrence “not a lot of people know that” and so it’s true, the only word in English (or Welsh) that rhymes with “orange” is “Blorenge”, the mountain visible from my home office window.
Actually I stand corrected dear readers, as this is now “our” home office as Debbie has her new iMac that arrived today and her new desk (when it arrives) will be placed next to mine. This is a change in our lives in more ways than one and working together on e-publishing is a new departure for us both I can assure you!
The other day I decided to try out my new Nikon D3200 camera by driving up to Keeper’s Pond on the top of Blorenge and taking a few rudimentary snaps. The weather was gorgeous and James and Hamish came along for the ride too. We couldn’t believe the views of the surrounding countryside (& oddly looking sheep) only three miles away from our new home.
Here’s some of the snaps I took, including a man and his son trying out their remote controlled model speedboats on the “pond”. Not too shabby for a first attempt at full auto point and shoot but I promise to get better! 🙂
