..in Tenby! 🙂
With James looking after Hamish at home Debbie & I went to Tenby, pretty much most of the way via the Heads of the Valleys Road past Merthyr all the way to the M4 by passing Port Talbot – just under 2 hours each way.
The weather was kind to us on this occasion and we parked at Sainsbury’s multi-storey car park (£3 for the day) and headed off to the harbour where we enjoyed a seafood snack of peeled prawns with seafood sauce for Debbie & a fresh crab sandwich for myself – although I helped myself to quite a few of her prawns too…
We followed this up with a quick coffee at the Castle beach cafe and a walk around the front before a quick gamble on a “fixed” 2p tipping point machine.
Then I surprised Debbie by buying a £450 gold chain that I’d fancied buying myself for the last 30 years and a fishing knife I’d promised myself in the last 30 days! We then headed back home agreeing that this was a great day out and that we were glad we’d made the effort to celebrate our anniversary in style.
